Health Effects

Fine particles are small enough to be respired into the deep lung. Epidemiological studies have shown that between 20,000 and 40,000 excess deaths occur in the United States alone due to respiration of fine particles. For this reason, they are a primary concern for the EPA. Cliff will write much more.
